I reside in a 3-storey rental apartment building in on Fairfield Road in Victoria, BC. Without any consultation or notification, a crane arrived in front of my building two weeks ago and lifted heavy loads of steel onto my roof. Asking my neighbour, he said Telus was putting up some kind of Wi-Fi tower. The next day two men from Ridge Tower Services began the assembly and, going on to the roof, I asked how tall the tower was. One of them told me it wasn’t a tower, “they are just about yay high,” holding his hand out in front of him. There has been a fairly constant barrage of deafening noise for over two weeks.
